Most homes that sell here are detached, and many were built between the 1950s and the 1970s. That means solid construction and real lot sizes, plus the costs of age: original windows, older roofs, wiring never meant for a modern household. None of that is a reason not to buy. It’s a reason to price it right and take the inspection seriously.
Newer subdivisions in Lakeshore, LaSalle and parts of Tecumseh sell at a premium, and the premium isn’t always worth the difference. Windsor itself has a steady supply of duplexes and small multi-family, which is why many first purchases here are part investment.
